Debbie Newson is committed to inspiring others to be their best. Through writing and inspirational speaking, I inspire others to cast aside anything that hinders them, to grab hold of their motivation, and achieve their wildest dreams.
I see a world where each person in it is valued for who they are and who they want to be, and are able to thrive and be truly happy and well.
I might challenge a few things to get us there, but we can go on a journey together to find success and freedom, and the ability to design our lives just as we want them.

I have faced many challenges in life, but every time I have risen up to not only survive, but gain strength from them. Because of some of those challenges I also failed every school exam there was. I have faced many challenges in life, but every time I have risen up to not only survive, but gain strength from them. Because of some of those challenges I also failed every school exam there was. But something deep inside me told me I was not the stupid person people told me I was. So I decided to train to be a nurse, and qualified in 1999 with the highest grades in our year! That moment defied every person that had told me I would never achieve anything in life.
I had a successful nursing career, during which in 2012 I gained a BA in Theology from the London School of Theology, and in 2013 was awarded an MA in Contextual Theology. I also went on to get a Post-Grad Diploma in Biblical Studies.
All of this, and my life experiences contributed to my first book, God: Naked at Last. I am now working on my second book, called Unexpected, tackling the subject of infertility.
I am now an author and motivational speaker. I also have a love of running, and I regularly run ultra-marathons. I believe everyone can run, and love inspiring others to take it up; whether we run one mile or 50, we are all runners!
So come on a journey with me to discover yourself, and bring to life your wildest dreams!

The Unexpecting Journey is a memoir about infertility.
It is the story of two young newly-weds on the trip of a lifetime, back-packing around the world before we have our family. I then describe our journey through infertility. I then offer my readers an in-depth examination of the effects of infertility on the sufferer, and move into a message of hope; a route-map out of the trauma; how to perform a self-rescue, to set ourselves free from this trauma, and discover what treasure lies beyond it. It is an awful thing to endure and it can destroy us, but it does not have to be that way forever. We can set ourselves free and find healing, freedom and the treasure we gain only through enduring the hothouse of suffering.
We finally make the radical decision to leave our lives behind and head out on our second world tour - our freedom trip. This trip sets us a trajectory to healing and freedom, and great new things.
“The Unexpecting Journey is such an important book. In these pages, you will find honesty, courage and hope.”

It is due to be released early October 2026 by Winter and Drew Publishing.

God: Naked at Last, published in September 2024 by Pegasus, is about stripping God of religion and finding what is left. There are lots of people who wish to have an experience of God, to know and perhaps experience something of God for themselves. But they might not want to be involved in religion, church or Christianity. Here, we strip away religion and discover God again. It is for those exploring faith, spirituality and whether there really is a God-figure out there.
